An agent for game developers

Hand it the grind. Keep the fun.

Sortie works inside your engine and your repo. It writes gameplay code, blocks out levels, plays your build overnight and files the bugs it finds. The scene behind this text was blocked out with it.

The demo runs in this tab: W to speed up, A and D to bank, Shift to boost. Sound is off until you turn it on in the corner.

SO02How it works

It works where your game lives.

Sortie is not a chat window next to your editor. It opens the project, reads the code and the scenes, makes the change, then plays the build to see whether it worked.

In-engine

Reads the whole project first

Point Sortie at the repo and the editor. It learns your scenes, prefabs, naming rules and build scripts before it changes a line.

In-engine

Works in the engine, not beside it

It opens scenes, places assets, wires up components and presses Play to check its own work, the way a teammate would.

In-engine

Flies the long jobs overnight

Brief it at six: a playtest sweep, a performance pass, a port. In the morning there is a branch, a clip of every run and a short report.

SO03The crew

One agent, four specialists.

Each crew member is the same agent tuned for a different job. Pick one and it takes the controls: the pilot and the plane's paint change in the scene above.

Mochi

Gameplay

Writes and refactors gameplay code: controllers, abilities, enemy states. Every change arrives with a test and a clip of it running.

SO04Briefing

Brief it like a teammate.

Write the task in plain words, in Slack, in your tracker or in the editor panel. Sortie makes a plan, asks when something is unclear, and opens a pull request when it is done. Nothing reaches your main branch without a person merging it.

SO06Questions

Questions studios ask.

Does it push to our main branch?

No. Every change lands on its own branch with a pull request, notes and recordings of the build. A person on your team merges it.

Which engines does it work with?

Unity, Unreal and Godot today, plus custom engines that expose a scripting layer or a command line.

Will it touch our art?

It places, names and wires up the assets you already have. It does not generate or replace art unless you ask it to.

Where does our code go?

Sortie runs on your machines or in your own cloud account. Your code and builds stay inside your network.

Was the demo on this page made with it?

The scene was blocked out with Sortie and finished by hand: the road, the trees, the plane and its pilot. Press Play a lap to fly it.
